The ScanSnap was a replacement for an older model of the same scanner. We are happy with our purchase and the scanner is faster than the older version but the quality of the scneed documents does not appear to be as good – although still adequate.

We have purchased probably 5 or 6 of the Fujitsu Scansnaps. I personally give them a rating of 5 for excellent since they are very simple to use for our clients who need to scan quantities of paper quickly, efficiently and without fuss. In terms of robustness, my clients are finding it hard to break them. In terms of IT efficiency they produce far smaller file size of scan documents that traditional all-in-one printer/scanners. They are therefore ideal for our current clients.

We are absolutely delighted with the Fujitsu ScanSnap S500, it is a major time saving device for a very busy and demanding environment. It is a great shame advances of this magnitude have not extended to other interfaces of the network.
