Invu i200 (iSeries)
i200 runs on Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS). This system is simple to install and allows users easy access to their document management file store via their browser.
The i200 system operates server side on the IIS platform and offers a user-friendly web interface to the Invu prouct range. Invu S200 must be in place in a standard installation for i200 to function.
It allows the user to log on to the site via the standard Invu log on. From the i200 home page the user can choose whether they wish to create a document for placement into the document management system or simply search for information. The search allows the user to look across all the indexing fields in Invu or indeed across the contents of th documents contained within the system. i200 allows the user to then open up the documents retrieved or indeed check the document out for editing. The editing can be done offline where on the document would be checked back into the online system by the user creating the new revision. All of this is of course governed by Invu privileges and security.
i200 allows flexibility for external users to see and edit (according to Invu security) information that until now could only have been accessed whilst on the network.
