Your recommendation was spot-on. The Canon DR2010C is a smart compact little machine that doesn't take up unnecessary desk space. Setup was relatively straightforward with the installation of the software included and I quickly got the hang of scanning documents straight to a folder on my desktop as pdf files. As my useage increases I will no doubt start using some of the machine's more complex features, but I'm really pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good quality scanner for home or small office use but not wanting to spend a fortune.
